My Latest Reads | July 2015

On today's post I will be telling you a bit about the books I'vee recently read.
  • Paper Towns
I've talked about the movie that is coming up soon (roughly two weeks from now) and on that same post I talked about being excited to read the book! It did not disapoint. It has some mixed reviews but I personally liked it. The story talks about Quentin and Margo and how you shouldn't think too much of a person, making them into a God, because they are just a person (don't judge a book by its cover). Of course is not only that, the story itself is the quest of Q following the clues to reach the girl he loves, Margo, once she disappears after one last night of mischief, only to find out he didn't know her at all.

"Margo loved mysteries so much, she became one."
  • Eleanor and Park
My first Rainbow Rowell novel (I am currently reading Fangirl), and it was beautiful! It tells the love the story of, well, Eleanor and Park, Eleanor being a curvy girl with curly red hair, and Park a half Asian kid who loves black clothes and comic books. That's what they bond over, comic books, and they have a beautiful but bumpy love story that felt real and continues until Eleanor's terrible family life catches up with her to the point where she can no longer ignore it.

"She never looked nice. She looked like art. And art isn't supposed to look nice; it's supposed to make you feel something."

  • Girl Online
I have been wanting to read this book for so long! (ironically, I got it the night Zoe announced that the paperback version, with the first two chapters of the sequel, was being released)
It talks about a blogger, Penny, and her holiday romance with rock-God-tastic Noah. It also talks about anxiety and hate on the internet which I think are very important subjects on today's day and age.

"And maybe one day when we realize that we all feel the same, we can all stop pretending to be something we're not."
I'm currently reading Fangirl and I'm sure I will read a lot more books by August (at least two more), so let me know if you liked this and if you'd like me to do another!
