Best Movies That Are Turning 30

Today it's all about movies, more specifically, movies made in 1985. These are all cult classics but also some of my favourite!
  • Back To The Future
One of my absoloute favourite movies of all time is Back To The Future. I watched when I was 7 or 8, in Disney Cinemagic (that doesn't even exist anymore!), and I absolutely loved. I've watched it many times since and watch everytime it comes on TV, even if I'm doing some thing else (unless, you know, Harry Potter).

Fun Fact: Doc offered Marty a part-time job, after Marty had snuck into his lab, and that's how they became friends!
  • The Breakfast Club
John Hughes made a lot of good movies in the '80s, and this one of is the one I enjoyed the most! It talks about sterotypes and just overall "teenage being". Has both funny and some emotional parts, but, overall, it's a great movie and I really recommend it!

Fun fact: Joh Hughes makes a cameo in the end of the fil, where he plays Brian's father. Brian's mother and sister are played by Anthony Michael Halls' real life mother and sister.
  • The Goonies
An adventure film about friendship... A group of friends (and their older friends) discover a map and try to find the treasure in order to save one of teir houses (Mikey's).

Fun Fact: The actors didn't see the ship until the end of the movie (and it was a real ship)!
  • Weird Science
Anthony Michael Hall. That was the reason I watched this film. After watching "16 Candles" and "The Breakfast Club", I just continued with the theme and watched this one too, and, you know what? It's pretty funny! To 'nerds' build the perfect girl using... Weird Science! (yup, see what I did there?)

Fun Fact: Gary and Wyatt live in the same town as Ferris Bueller and The Breakfast Club kids (Shermer, Illinois).

  • Teen Wolf
Like Anthony Michael Hall and Weird Science, I saw this movie because of Michael J Fox (maybe it's the three names, I don't know). Basically Scott becomes popular with his new found wolf persona! And yes, he has a friend called Stiles Stilinski!

Fun Fact: The jersey worn by Michael J. Fox was sold for 30000$.

Movies like "St. Elmo's Fire", "Rambo II" and "Rocky IV" were also released 30 years ago.

See you soon!

What I Do To Help Me Study

My Easter Holidays are (unfortunatelly) ending, wich meens back to school time, so I thought I'd share with my top six tips to help you study in preparation for tests and quizzes.
  • Have a study notebook and make summaries of the subjects
This will help you memorize the subject. What I do is take the book, read it and, as said before, do a summary of what it says and maybe add some notes you take in class (wich also helps).

  • Turn off all gadgets
When studying, you'll do better in an enviorment where there's no music or social media to distract you. Some people say that it help's them concentrate, but for me, it doesn't.

  • Practice, practice, practice
This one especially for Maths and Physics and Chemistry. Of course you can memorize the formulas, but practicing will help you understand them.

  • Highlight
Highlight both the book and your study notebook, but don't just paint them with fluerescent yellow and orange. Highlight the main words, maybe a scentence here and there.

  • Have someone ask you questions
This way you will see if you understood it and wich parts need a little more studying.

  • Use flashcards
If you can't have anyone ask you questions, flashcards are the next best thing. Just put a question in the front, and the answer in the back and that's it!

I hope this helped you somehow, all of these together work really well! If you have some suggestions, be sure to let me know in the comments and I will see you soon with another post!
